Overview

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the Sotaquômetro app and website, how it's used, and your rights over it.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties beyond what's necessary to operate the app and comply with applicable law.

Audio Recording — 100% On-Device

When you record a word, the audio is processed entirely on your iPhone, using a Core ML model embedded in the app. No audio is ever sent to a server — there is no speech-recognition backend.

Each attempt's audio is overwritten by the next recording and is deleted when the app closes. Your round history (scores, not audio) is stored only locally on your device via SwiftData — no account, no login, no cloud sync.

Usage Analytics – Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how users interact with the app. This service collects:

  • Anonymous usage events (e.g. app opened, word recorded)
  • Optional feedback (👍/👎) on a result — along with the word, score, and verdict, only when you choose to rate it
  • Device type, iOS version, and app version
  • Country/region (no precise location) and session duration

All data is aggregated and anonymous — your voice recording is never part of these events. Firebase Analytics does not personally identify you. You can disable tracking under Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

Crash Reporting – Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix crashes in the app. When a crash occurs, the following information is sent automatically:

  • Stack trace and error details
  • Device model and iOS version
  • App version and build number

No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.

Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy. We do not use advertising or ad SDKs of any kind.

Your Rights

  • You can disable tracking at any time under Settings → Privacy → Tracking on your iPhone.
  • You can request deletion of any data associated with you by contacting us at the email below.
  • You're free to stop using the app at any time — since nothing is stored in the cloud, deleting the app removes all your local data.
